A Mark of Clinical Excellence
The Tatler Doctors Guide is a carefully chosen directory. It points people toward the most respected medical professionals in the UK. Selection relies on peer recognition, clinical innovation, and a consistent history of successful patient outcomes.
Deciding to have hip surgery is a big decision and not something anyone takes lightly. This recognition gives patients and their families confidence. It reassures you that you are choosing a specialist with world-class expertise.
Leading the Way with Anterior Hip Surgery
Professor Field is widely known for his pioneering work with the Direct Anterior Approach for hip replacements. Traditional surgery often involves cutting major muscles to reach the joint. This can lead to longer recovery times.
Anterior hip surgery uses a completely different path. The surgeon works between the natural muscle layers at the front of the hip. This protects the muscles from damage.
As a result, patients experience less pain. The new joint is immediately stable, and people return to their normal routines much quicker. Combining this technique with Mako robotic assistance ensures highly precise, reliable care.
