Consultation fees with Prof Field:

Initial consultation: £220 to £250

Second opinions: £250 to £300

Follow-up consultations: £150 to £180

Fees are charged according to the duration of the consultation, work undertaken to access previous investigations and to arrange further investigations.

For insured patients. We try to ensure that fees will be covered by your insurance policy. If your insurance cover is limited or there is an excess on your policy, you will need to pay the shortfall yourself. We will endeavour to ensure that you are provided with written guidance on the fees that our surgeons will be charging prior to you appointment.

Operations

Surgical and anaesthetic fees for surgical procedures vary according to the procedure code(s) of the intervention(s) being undertaken. Before any operation, your surgeon and anaesthetist will write to you with details of their fees for the procedure that they have agreed to undertake for you. In rare cases, it may be necessary to modify the surgical plan and your surgeon will try to anticipate and provide you with details of alternative procedures that may be necessary. It is important that your consent for surgery is obtained prior to your admission and this is something that can be usefully covered during the lockdown period.

Please also note that when it becomes possible to admit patients to hospital for planned operations, an additional consent form will need to be completed, to address the risks associated with Covid-19 infection.
